Who it's for
National SEO is for businesses whose customers are spread across the country. That includes online stores that ship everywhere, software and subscription products, companies that deliver services remotely such as consulting, bookkeeping or training, and manufacturers or wholesalers selling to buyers in many states.
The common problem is that the site was built for a small market and never grew up. It has a handful of product or service pages, a blog that was updated for a few months and then stopped, and very few links from other websites. Meanwhile the businesses that rank nationally have hundreds of useful pages that answer every question a buyer might ask, organized so that search engines understand what the site is about.
Other signs you have outgrown local-style SEO:
- You rank for your brand name but not for the category you sell in.
- Your traffic comes mostly from a few states, even though you serve all fifty.
- Competitors with weaker products outrank you because they publish more and get cited more.
- Your blog posts cover random topics that never connect to what you sell.
If that sounds familiar, the fix is not a few more keywords on your home page. It is a deliberate plan for topic coverage and authority.
National SEO also suits businesses that have done well locally and want to grow beyond their region. A contractor that sells a product online, a clinic that offers telehealth, or a law firm with a practice area that isn't limited to one state can all run a national campaign alongside their local SEO. The two approaches use different pages and different keywords, so they don't compete with each other.
How we do it
- 1
1. Build the nationwide keyword set
We use keyword research to pull together the full range of searches in your category: the broad head terms, the specific long-tail questions, and the comparison and "best" searches people make just before they buy. We group them by intent, so informational questions, product research and ready-to-buy searches each get the kind of page that suits them. We drop keywords that look big but would never turn into customers for you.

2. Map the topics and find the gaps
Next we use topic clustering, which lays out the subjects in your category and shows which ones your site already covers and which it doesn't. This is where national campaigns usually win or lose. Search engines tend to favor sites that cover a subject thoroughly, so we plan pillar pages for your core topics and the supporting articles that link into them.

3. Fix the foundations for a bigger site
A national plan means more pages, and more pages make technical problems more expensive. Before content scales up, we check crawling, indexing, duplicate pages, internal links, page speed and structured data. If the site has thousands of product or category pages, we look at how templates handle titles, headings and filters.

4. Produce content at a steady pace
We write briefs for each page based on what already ranks, what questions searchers have and what your business knows that competitors don't. Then we write, edit and publish on a schedule you can sustain. Existing pages that almost rank are often improved before new ones are written, because it is usually faster to lift a page that is close than to start a new one.

5. Build authority with earned links
National keywords usually require links from respected sites in your field. We use backlink analysis to see where your links come from, how they compare with the sites outranking you, and which kinds of sites link to your competitors but not to you. Then we do outreach with content that gives other sites a real reason to cite you. No bought links, no networks, no link farms.

6. Measure and adjust every month
We track rankings for the full keyword set, watch which pages are gaining and which are stuck, and shift effort toward what is working. National campaigns reward patience and consistency more than one big push.
What you receive
At the start you get a written strategy: the keyword groups, the topic map with gaps marked, the technical issues we found and the order we plan to tackle everything in. You approve it before content work begins.
Every month you receive a report that lists the pages published or improved, the links earned and where they came from, technical fixes completed, and ranking movement across your national keyword set. It is written in plain English so you can see what was done and why, not just a wall of charts.
You also get the content itself, in whatever format suits your team: published straight to your site, or delivered as documents for your approval. Everything we create belongs to you.
Pricing: custom quote after a free review
National campaigns vary a lot with the size of the site, the number of topics and how competitive the market is, so we quote after a free review. Nationwide work sits under our Custom monthly plan; see the Pricing page for how our monthly plans are structured.

How is national SEO different from local SEO?
Local SEO targets people searching near you and leans on your Google Business Profile, reviews and the Map Pack. National SEO has no map results to lean on, so it depends on content depth, site structure and links. You are competing with every business in your category across the country, not just the ones in your town.
Is national SEO right for a small business?
It can be, if you sell or deliver across the US: an online store, a software product, a service delivered remotely, or a niche manufacturer. If most of your customers are within driving distance, local SEO is usually the better use of your money. We will tell you which fits after the free review.
How long before a national campaign shows results?
We can't give you a date. National keywords are often more competitive than local ones, and results depend on your site, your market and what competitors are already doing. What we can promise is a clear plan, steady work every month, and reports that show exactly what was done.
Do you write the content, or do we?
We can write it, or work with your team. Many clients have product knowledge that no outside writer can match, so a common setup is that we produce briefs and drafts and you review for accuracy before anything goes live.
How do you build links for a national campaign?
Through outreach and content worth citing: guides, data you already own, expert commentary and resources other sites have a reason to reference. We never buy links or use private blog networks.
Can you work on an existing large site without breaking it?
Yes. We start with a crawl and a backlink review so we know what is already working. Changes to templates, URLs and navigation are planned and tested, and redirects are mapped before anything moves.
