Who it's for
Landing page design is for businesses that send traffic to a specific offer and need that traffic to act. That usually means one of three situations:
- You or someone you hire runs paid campaigns, and ads currently point to your home page, where visitors have to hunt for what the ad promised.
- You want to rank for a specific high-intent search, such as a single service in a single city, and need a page built precisely for it.
- You are promoting a seasonal offer, an event or a new service and need a page that explains it clearly without rebuilding your site.
Common problems we fix: headlines that don't match the ad or search that brought the visitor, pages with a full menu and ten links competing for attention, long forms asking for information you don't need yet, no phone number on mobile, missing tracking so nobody knows which campaign produced which enquiry, and pages that take so long to load that paid clicks are wasted.
To be clear about scope: we build the pages, not the campaigns. We don't manage Google Ads, Local Services Ads or social media advertising. We work alongside whoever does, and the tracking we set up gives them the data they need to judge each page.
Home service companies, clinics, law firms, contractors and local professional services get the most from focused landing pages, because their visitors usually arrive with a specific, urgent need.
How we do it
- 1
1. Write the brief
Each page starts with a one-page brief: who the visitor is, where they are coming from (a particular search, an ad or an email), what problem they have, what you are offering and the one action you want them to take. If there are several audiences or offers, each gets its own brief and, usually, its own page.

2. Write the copy before the design
The headline echoes what the visitor searched for or clicked on, so they know immediately they are in the right place. Below it, we cover what you offer, why they should trust you (licenses, certifications, genuine reviews you already have, warranties you actually offer), what happens after they get in touch and answers to the objections that stop people acting. Every claim on the page has to be one you can back up. For deeper copy work across your site, see our SEO copywriting services.

3. Design for one action
We remove the main navigation and anything else that pulls attention away from the call to action. The form asks only for what you need to follow up, often a name, a phone number and a short description. On mobile, a click-to-call button stays within reach. The layout is tested on phones first, since that is where much of this traffic arrives.

4. Preview it in search
For pages meant to be found in search, we write the title tag and meta description and check them in a search result preview, which shows how the page will look in Google's results on desktop and mobile. We make sure the title isn't cut off and the description gives searchers a reason to click. For ad-only pages, we set them to stay out of search results so they don't compete with your service pages.

5. Make it fast
Visitors from a search or an ad decide quickly whether to stay. We check each page with page speed testing and fix the causes of slow loading, such as large hero images, heavy scripts and unused code, before launch.

6. Set up tracking
We track form submissions, clicks on the phone number and visits to a thank-you page, and label them so you, or whoever runs your campaigns, can tie enquiries back to each page and source. We test every conversion event before handing over.
What you receive
- The page brief for each landing page, agreed with you before we write.
- Finished landing pages, live on your site or a subdomain, with any agreed variations.
- Search preview screenshots showing how each page meant to rank will appear in results.
- Page speed results for each page at launch.
- Tracking summary listing each conversion event, how it is recorded and confirmation that it fired during testing.
- Handover file with page URLs, the tracking details your ad manager needs and notes on editing text and images.

Do you run the ad campaigns too?
No. We don't manage Google Ads or other paid campaigns. We design and build the pages your ads or your in-house marketer send traffic to, and we set up the tracking so whoever runs the campaigns can see which pages produce enquiries. We are happy to coordinate with your ad manager on messaging and tracking.
What is the difference between a landing page and a service page?
A service page is part of your website's navigation and covers a service in depth, for visitors who arrive from anywhere. A landing page is built for one specific audience and one offer, usually with the main menu removed so the visitor has one clear next step. Some landing pages are also built to rank in search, and we write those with enough substance to do that.
Can a landing page rank on Google?
It can, if it has useful content, targets a real search and is part of your site's structure. Many ad-only landing pages are deliberately kept out of search results to avoid duplicating your service pages. We decide which approach fits each page during the brief.
Where will the landing pages live?
Usually on your existing website, which keeps everything under your domain and in one analytics account. If your platform makes that difficult, we can build them in a landing page tool or as lightweight standalone pages on a subdomain.
How many landing pages do I need?
One per distinct offer or audience is a good rule. A roofer might need separate pages for repairs, replacement and storm damage, because each visitor has a different problem. We would rather build a few focused pages than one page that tries to speak to everyone.
Can you improve a landing page I already have?
Yes. We review the page, the traffic it gets and how it converts now, then rewrite and rebuild it. For ongoing testing across several pages, our conversion rate optimization service may be a better fit.
What can I use as proof if my business is new?
Proof doesn't have to mean dozens of reviews. Licenses, insurance, certifications, trade memberships, photos of real work, a clear explanation of your process and a named person who answers the phone all build trust. We use what you genuinely have and never invent testimonials or badges to fill the space.
