Who it's for

Most small businesses spend all their attention on Google and never look at how they appear anywhere else. Meanwhile, an iPhone owner who asks Siri for "a pharmacy near me" or taps a business in Apple Maps sees whatever Apple has on file. Someone searching from a work laptop with Edge sees Bing's version. If those listings are wrong, you lose customers you never knew were looking.

This service is for you if:

  • You've never claimed either listing. Apple and Bing may have created a place for your business from third-party data, with details you've never checked.
  • Your details are out of date. You updated your hours or phone number on Google, but Apple Maps still shows the old ones.
  • You serve customers who skew toward iPhones or office computers, such as professional services, medical and dental practices, restaurants in business districts, boutique retail and salons.
  • You want your business information to be accurate everywhere, including the sources that AI assistants and voice search rely on.

It works for storefronts and offices of any kind. Service-area businesses benefit too, particularly on Bing, which supports hidden addresses in a similar way to Google.

If you want your entire listing footprint fixed, including the wider directory network, pair this with local citation building.

How we do it

  1. 1

    Bing Places for Business

    1. Look for what already exists. We search Bing and Bing Maps for your business under your current and past names, addresses and phone numbers. Bing sometimes has several versions of the same business.
    2. Claim or import. If you have a verified Google Business Profile, we can import it into Bing Places to save time, then go through each field. If a listing already exists, we claim it and handle verification, which may involve a phone call, text, email or postcard.
    3. Complete the listing. We set categories, a business description, hours, holiday hours, your website, photos and your logo, and we check that the map pin sits on your actual entrance, not the middle of a parking lot.
    4. Clean up duplicates. Where Bing shows a second listing for you, we report it so customers don't find the wrong one.
  2. 2

    Apple Business Connect

    1. Set up the account. We help you create an Apple Business Connect account for your company, or join one you already have, and add your location.
    2. Claim the place card. If Apple already shows your business, we claim that place card; if it doesn't, we create one. Apple verifies that you're authorized to represent the business, and we tell you ahead of time what it may ask for.
    3. Fill in the details. Hours, phone, website, categories, photos, logo and a cover image. Where your business qualifies, we add action links so customers can call, visit your site or book straight from the place card.
    4. Add a Showcase, if you have something worth highlighting, like a seasonal offer or a new service.
  3. 3

    Keeping it consistent

We use map ranking grid scans and listing checks to compare how your name, address, phone and hours appear across Google, Apple, Bing and the main data sources, and flag differences. After changes go live, we check them again, because some platforms take a while to process updates or pull older data back in from other sources. If Apple or Bing rejects a change, we find out why, correct the submission and try again, and we keep you informed rather than letting the listing sit half finished. The same master details then feed your other directory listings, so every source tells customers the same thing.

What you receive

When both listings are live, you get a short setup report with:

  • Links to your live Bing Places listing and Apple Maps place card
  • Screenshots of both as customers see them on phone and desktop
  • A list of any duplicates we reported and their status
  • Login and ownership details for both accounts, held in your business's name
  • A side-by-side table of your details on Google, Apple and Bing, showing they now match

On a monthly plan, we check all three listings each month, apply updates when your hours or services change, set holiday hours in advance, and note any changes in your monthly report. If you ever part ways with us, both accounts stay with you, and the setup report tells the next person exactly where everything lives and how to update it.

Do people really use Apple Maps and Bing to find local businesses?

Yes. Apple Maps is the default map app on iPhones, and Siri draws on Apple's place data when someone asks for a nearby business. Bing is the default search engine in Microsoft Edge and Windows search, and Bing results also feed Microsoft Copilot. Google is still the biggest source of local searches for most businesses, which is why we treat these listings as an addition to your Google work rather than a replacement.

Can't I just import my Google Business Profile into Bing Places?

Bing Places does let you import from Google, and it's a fine starting point. The import doesn't always carry over everything correctly, though, and it won't fix an old Bing listing that already exists for your business. We use the import where it helps, then check each field, merge or report duplicates and fill in what's missing.

What is Apple Business Connect?

Apple Business Connect is Apple's free tool for businesses to claim and manage how they appear on Apple Maps and in other Apple apps. It lets you control your place card, including your hours, photos, contact details and action buttons, and add Showcases to highlight an offer or news. Without it, Apple fills in your details from other data sources, which may be out of date.

My business isn't on Apple Maps at all. Can you add it?

Yes. If Apple doesn't have a place card for you, we can create one through Apple Business Connect and submit it for verification. Apple may ask for proof that you are authorized to represent the business, such as a phone call or documents, and we'll tell you what to expect.

I'm a service-area business with no storefront. Do these listings still make sense?

Bing Places lets you list as a service-area business and hide your address, similar to Google. Apple Maps is built around physical locations, so how you appear depends on your setup. We'll look at your situation and recommend what's accurate and allowed on each platform.

Do I need to keep updating these listings?

Whenever your hours, phone, services or address change, both listings need the same update as your Google profile. Holiday hours are the one people forget most. On a monthly plan, we keep all three in sync for you.
